About

Picture
St. Mark's is a small parish founded in 1963. Located in the Coliseum Central area of Hampton, Virginia, we are one of four Episcopal parishes in the City of Hampton. Together with Emmanuel, St. Cyprian's and St. John's, we share ministry and mission in the city.

St. Mark's has a long commitment to radical hospitality as noted on our landing page.

All of these churches are parishes of the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia and part of The Episcopal Church. We are a sacramental community with Eucharist (Holy Communion) as the primary expression of our Common Worship.

We are a part of the worldwide Anglican Communion headed by The Most Reverend Justin Welby the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Reverend Warren Hicks (above right) is the Priest-in-Charge at St. Mark's. You can email him at padrewarren@stmarkshampton.org

Padre Warren came to St. Mark's in October of 2017 after serving as a parish priest for 12 years in his native Colorado and Massachusetts, then as Executive Director and Pastor of an outdoor church in Worcester, Mass where he worked with the homeless and at-risk population of New England's second-largest city in a multi-denominational capacity. He lives in Hampton with his wife, The Reverend Lisa Green and their Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Brendan.

Where we are!

Radical Hospitality, Ancient Faith, Servant

Ministry

Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
We will, with God’s help.

Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?
We will, with God’s help."
