At St. Mark's we try and live into our Baptismal Covenant as individuals and as a congregation. The last two promises of our covenant are:
- Celebrant Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
- Celebrant Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?
In response to our commitment to partner with God to live into these promises we reach out to the community in a variety of ways.
On the fourth Wednesday of the month at 5:30 we host a Community Meal for any who care to join us. We typically feed between 40 and 50 folks each month.
We have a food pantry on site for emergency food assistance.
Each winter we host a week of HELP (Hampton Ecumenical Lodging & Provisions) 'Nights Welcome In' which provides two meals and a warm place to sleep for folks who are housing insecure in the Hampton Area.
We also support the work of projects in our Diocese such as Virginia Boys Home and GraceInside, a ministry to prisoners in the Commonwealth of Virginia's penal system.
